Los Cangilones of Gualaca is another destination that I really wanted to see, and of course it was included in the Road Trip.
In addition, it is one of the 10 Wonders of Panama. Located in, where else, Gualaca, Chiriquí.
I had no idea how easy it is to get there, literally you can get there by car, once parked, you will see Los Cangilones.
It is a narrow canal formed by nature and its name is due to the fact that it has the shape of a cooking pot or container, but from pot to Los Cangilones ?, because cangilon (bucket) is a clay or metal cooking pot in the shape of a pitcher.
Los Cangilones of Gualaca is one of those wonders of nature, it belongs to the Estí river.
The town is only a kilometer away, there you can buy what you need for your enjoyment of the river (food, drinks).
Its waters are fresh and crystal clear, excellent for spending a good day. If there are not many people, you can also read a good book.
Every time I travel and visit a part of this beautiful country, I keep adding destinations to the “I want to return” list and definitely this place entered to the list.
In its waters you will also be able to see some little fishes, I took advantage and tried to take some photos of them, but I still need some practice, hahaha.
- Bring water,
- Avoid going on rainy days and just after it has rained,
- If you are going to play music, please do not put on the high volume, remember that other people are also enjoying the place and some like to listen to nature,
- Bring a bag to collect all your things, I mean the trash, do not leave anything.
